GeNiuZ July 30th, 2001 10:12 AM

It doesn't run fine in windows ME. but I also got win98 so that's not really a problem.

Duck_Of_Death July 30th, 2001 10:36 AM

had to tweek the virtual memory on the pc cos it shut down (would give blue screens on win98se) mid game, after i upped the memory it ran fine, i was supprised cos i cant even run Quake 3 on win2k with my card, but quake runs on win98SE (dual boot pc)

No joke:

Pentium II 266
196M RAM
Monster 3D II (Voodoo2 with 12M texture memory)
Soundblaster AWE

I'm running at 800x600 with everything at the lowest setting
except for different sounds and different particle variations,
which as far as I know only requires more memory. In some
places (smaller rooms) it's actually smooth--the (SLIGHT SPOILER)
mansion level rocks. Only a _few_ crashes, but considering I
never expected the game to run anyway (I'm below the minimum for
both CPU speed _and_ video texture memory) I'm still really
impressed with the visuals. You people with tricked out boxes
(I'm getting mine soon, really!) must be in graphic heaven...

Free Cookies go to who ever guesses how many frames I can pump out of max when ever I get the chance to install it.

I don't know if it runs yet, I havn't had time to install it, very busy. I know for a fact that it won't run on my Pentium 2 266 MHz or my Pentium 166 MHz Computers though...
