Default Company of Heroes

I just bought this game and it's a can't miss for any RTS fan, and even people who don't like RTS games might enjoy this one as well. It's just that good. It looks, sounds, feels and plays incredible! The resource management is not a pain like other RTS's, it just comes naturally with taking over territory. In fact, you needent worry about resources, you'll be too busy fighting and coming up with a strategy to complete your mission.

It seems that everyone is giving this game high praise. Average review score at Metacritic is 95/100 which is currently the fourth highest average of a pc game ever: Company Of Heroes - Metacritic reviews

There's a demo out ofr it that you can try, but seriously, go buy it! You won't regret it.

I was just reading reviews on this game. It does look absolutely fantastic and yeah everyone is raving on about how good it is.

I think I will get it, but I doubt I will be able to play it in all its glory... PC is probably a lil to slow.

I've been waiting for this game since PC Gamer first previewed it. I'll be buying it shortly. I cannot wait to get my hands on it. Though, like Mr E, my computer is unfortunately mediocre and probably won't handle the game as well as I hope it will. Either way, it'll be phenominal.

I've only played the first two missions and I don't really know what to say. There's so many good things about this game. The graphics are overwhelming and the first two missions are completely showing off the power of the engine.

The first mission is basically Omaha and it was just like watching Saving Private from Above. The second was a night mission in the fields of Normandy and they both look absolutely amazing.

The audio is fantastic and it makes the long gun battles even more intense. I hardly play any RTS (although I try a lot of them) but this one is the best RTS I've played since Red Alert 2. Get this game if you like mainly infantry based RTS's and just get it anyway if your system can run it to look good.

My impression from the demo= wow.

I've got the graphics cranked up to the max and the visual presentation is just amazing. The fully desructable environments actually do add to the gameplay rather then looks. For example , buildings provide excellent cover for infantry but a tank can come along and blow a few holes in a building or totally demolish it and then you lose that cover totally.Even to the point that craters caused by explosions , provide cover. The audio is just as amazing...really immersive game.As for overall gameplay , it's very fast and forces you to go out and capture points , eliminating the problem of people sitting back and building bases just to upgrade etc. in mulitplayer. If you sit back , you lose , simple as that. Can't wait to try out some multiplayer.

I've pre-ordered it as it's not out here yet.

I just got the game today. It is absolutely brilliant. It easily shoots above AoE 2, Starcraft, and Red Alert and is now my favorite RTS. IGN called it an "action RTS" for good reason. It's extremely fast paced, and the battles are frantic - in a good way. I don't know much concerning the graphics. From what I've seen online they're great, but my computer sucks. I can run it fine, though it stays between twenty and twenty-five fps usually, and drops down to around 15 during heavy situations. I don't mind much, as I'm surprised this 3 year old, $300 computer can even handle that. I've a few bells and whistles turned on, namely the ones that affect gameplay: terrain detail, physics, etc. Nothing is more satisfying than watching an artillery shell rip apart a machine gun embankment.

Yeah, the is the first game I've played where if a tank shoots a building, a hole will be made wherever the shell hit. Not just nothing happens or it all falls down at once. I still can't believe how unique each mission is. My fav so far is the one where you have to defend Carentan and set up ambushes and stuff.
