Does Persephones ethereal form really work?

I've been playing skirmish against the computer. When I use the ethereal form spell, I get attacked from melee creatures. I thought it was to make you immune to all forms of attack, help anyone?

The spell just about ends after 15 seconds or so. But when it is working, nothing can harm you or knock you down.

im not sure about that, i only use persephone online and i do get knocked down using that spell. Im not exactly sure what spells or creatures knock me down, but i have seen it many times.

Nothing except mana draining attacks will hurt you.

Im not sure about knocking down.. dont remember.

Though I know you cant be frozen by silverbacks, or stoned by basilisks etc.
