A long shot, but it just might work...

I recently upgraded to 128mb of RAM, and whooped for joy as the 256 x 256 character textures worked!!! But it would be great if I could use the 512 textures. So come on, Shiny...how about DXTC support? Please? Oh, go on..

I've been enjoying those 256 textures for a while now. However, this is the only graphic that I can't max out. I have the res and color maxed out, and every other detail on its highest setting. Too bad I don't have 256 memory cause then I could have every graphic setting maxed out. Maybe I'll just buy another stick of RAM.

But I only have 2 DIMM slots...ah well, back to the shameless pleading..Pleaase Shiny, I want texture compression...Please? How about using a beta patch to test it for the next iteration of the engine? Hmm?

You need a video card with at least 64mb of RAM (GeForce 2 GTS, Radeon, Voodoo 5..) and 256 megs of RAM on your system in order to play at 512x512 textures.

I know, that's why I want texture compression! I can't be the only one who'd like to see it.
