xbox 360 killing PC gaming? do you guys think the console wars is going to kill PC gaming? its like there are no PC fanboys, just console fanboys. Maybe its because fanboys see their PC as only a tool to rant about their console and look up stuff about certain games, while PC users are busy using IRC and other PC gaming stuff. this article seems to sum up my perspective http://www.ggl.com/news.php?NewsId=3860 |
Re: xbox 360 killing PC gaming? PC games are far easier to make and mod than xbox games. An xbox game needs to be approved by MS. Anyone with some programming skills can make and sell a PC game. And I have yet to see a console do a great RTS or MMO game like the PC's can. Consoles will never kill PC games, unless they become full fledged PC's themselves. And there are a ton of PC fanboys here, they will come out. |
Re: xbox 360 killing PC gaming? Yeah right, the wet dream of microsoft. |
Re: xbox 360 killing PC gaming? I'm a PC fanboy. I own an Xbox, and it's fun, but there are just so many more good games for PCs than there are for consoles. |
Re: xbox 360 killing PC gaming? Nah, PC rules. They simply can't get taken over by consoles. I mean, there are so many things that the PC can do that the console can't, you should be thinking the other way around. |
Re: xbox 360 killing PC gaming? Consoles will not kill pc's. People who want the latest technology for gaming will always choose pc's. When microsoft releases vista, console & pc will be able to play together. The bad for console is keyboard & mouse. It is a far superior control devise. It is 100 times more precise than a gamepad. Once console users realize the reason they are getting waxed, they may think twice about their choice of gaming machine. maybe not, but as long as technology advances, pc's will always be around & far superior for gaming. Consoles are only NOW able to do what pc's have been doing, & with dx10 around the corner, pc's shall once again eclipse consoles. Then, when the ps4 or xbox720(or whatever)come out, will consoles catch up. |

I blame the 360 for Oblivions shortfalls though. |
Re: xbox 360 killing PC gaming? ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, not. :p Of course not. If you notice, the 360 is still a little small in the amount of available games. Not to mention that game with the highest graphics available at the moment (Crysis, this is in my opinion though) is originally planned for the P.C. It may come to 360 but we are not 100% sure on that. Look it up at IGN, and watch some of the videos, really cool. Many games are planned for other console releases, just because they are coming out soon. Think, when the Xbox was released many games were put on there to get more copies bought. This happens with most console releases. The PS3 already has over thirty planned release games. Once these consoles are just regular consoles and there are no new ones in sight, the P.C. is looked upon as it always is (in my view it is looked upon as #1 for game consoles). |
Re: xbox 360 killing PC gaming? PC's are used to build consoles, PC's are used to also build console games, without the PC, consoles wouldn't even be here. |
Re: xbox 360 killing PC gaming? There are some good games I want to see made for PC that are currently only going to be made for Xbox 360. Need For Speed: Carbon, and Test Drive: Unlimited. I still don't think that Console will overrun PC though. PC's are upgradeable, and can do MUCH more than consoles, as well sa they have a much larger storage capacity for a broader range of things. I'm just wondering though, does anyone know how much it really takes to port a game designed for Xbox 360 over to PC? |

Re: xbox 360 killing PC gaming? the august issue of PC Gamer. Let me clarify, Xbox360 users & pc users will be able to play together. It is called "Live Anywhere". |
Re: xbox 360 killing PC gaming? PC Is Amazingly good it will never get baten by xBox,xBox360,PS1,PS2,PS3,PS4000 etc. etc. |
Re: xbox 360 killing PC gaming? Its not goin to happen. You know, PC games might get wiped out eventully but not by consles. Maybe by like a Virtual Reality thing. |
Re: xbox 360 killing PC gaming? PC fanboy own an 360 I doubt they kill the pc with game... |
Re: xbox 360 killing PC gaming? they wont kill pc gaming but many pc gamers have came to xbox live |

And all this "OMG a mouse is better than a gamepad" crap is stupid. If you know what you are doing with a gamepad, you can hold your own and beat people with mice. I doubt you people have seen some of the good Halo 2 players on XBL. |
Re: xbox 360 killing PC gaming? The XBox is killing PC games in a way, but it isn't because it is better, it's because it sucks. Look at CoD2, Oblivion, and BiA. All are potentially near-perfect games, but because they were all designed for the console first, they just arn't up to par with their predecessors(or in the case of BiA, it just isn't as good as it could be). Acually I mostly blame it on the shrinking attention spans of human's these days. In a year or so though it won't be a problem because PCs will be more powerful then the next gen systems again, so it will be the best platform to create games on. |
Re: xbox 360 killing PC gaming? many ppl are goin to xbox 360 because of certain games in my opinion the xbox 360 is a lot better for online games but i would choose the pc for single player games (excluding call of duty is much better on the pc even online) |
Re: xbox 360 killing PC gaming? I'm not even going to read the replies here, as I'm sure it's filled with zitfaced teens masturbating over their leet PC :) PC gaming and console gaming are 2 different worlds. One will never kill off the other. |
Re: xbox 360 killing PC gaming? Look a year down the road. PCs continue to get faster and faster and are easily upgraded. A Xbox360 just sits there and there is nothing to make it "better". |
