BF Nam is the most realistic one. The others really try too hard to capture the open-ness of the 60's, rather than the brutality and dark light that the war carried. BF Vietnam captured the war in the gaming world, as apocolaypse now and platoon did in the movie world.

Haha, BF Nam is not the most realisitic one for sure.

No its not the most realistic one. Trust me when you can use a heavy mg as a sniper rifle theres something wrong with the realism.

Eve of Destruction for Battlefield 1942 is a hell of a lot of fun.

And it's being ported to Battlefield2.

See, I'd prefer to not feel like I am there. Mosquitos, punji sticks, ambushes? No thank you!

It would be interesting if there was a game that accurately replicated it, sometimes having an eventful patrol, in real time, you have to watch where you put your feet, you have to deal with the monotony, shattered by brief intervals of excitement and panic.

If you choose to be an officer, you start as a 2Lt, and the game ends about 18 seconds after you get off the plane.

I don't see it selling, though:p

I've always hoped that the makers of CoD would make a Vietnam game. They could probably do it right and make it a great game. That, and why do we need a CoD 3 based in yet again, WWII? They need a new war already.
