Tekken vs Mario

What are your thoughts on the 'coolness' of games like Tekken vs the more cute variety of Mario? Which ones captivate you more?

Mario FTW. Tekken cant stand up to the superior quality of super mario. Hes the king of nintendo. Give him action games, side scrollers, racing games, and he can live up to it. Im not saying tekken is bad, but you cant put them 2 games next to eachother, it just doesnt work.
Personally id rather jump on a koopa trooper than kick someones face in . Much cooler

I'd pick Mario.
Those buttom smashing fighting games get me bored faster than a cheap hooker.

Mario Bros. was only the best selling video game series ever. There is no comparison.

Mario is for simple minded folk. Tekken is a sophisticated 'thinking man's ' game, the stringing of combinations is an art all of it's own.

...Martial Law would one inch puch Mario from here to Timbucktoo.

Oh Yeah Mr. Interesting, hitting Buttons in Sequence is an Art. Mario is fun, Friendly, and simply Awesome.

Tekken. Even though most people here say Tekken's just random mashing of buttons and "hitting buttons in a sequence", I'll have to say that Tekken's a lot more than that. When you've played it for a while, as I have (started with the first), and you play against someone who's on your level when it comes to skill (and you're both high skilled in the game), it becomes more a matter of strategy and speed. Sure new players only mash buttons, but that's not how it's played when both are long-time Tekken players. Yeah, yeah, I won't say that "playing Tekken's an art", but I do say that it requires some serious skill, thinking and quick reflexes.

Tekken gets my vote.
