I disagree. I've been playing those button smashers since the beginning and still say it doesn't take much skill.
Fun for a few laughs but that's about it.

I like melee and the Tekken games from Tekken Tag and Before, I also like DOA2 and Virtual Fighter 4

My vote would go to Virtual Fighter 4, It's most likely not the best out of these games, but It's the first fighter I played and When I say that I mean Like the orignal Virtual Fighter not 4...Anyways All Great Games, Oh yeah Mortal Kombat Rocks, I just hope they do better with the Game layout with Armageddon

Of course you're entitled to your own opinion, however, you've gotta admit it requires some form of skill if one person consistently beats another player. It's not a game based on chance (chance for critical hit, miss, x-y amount of damage), and if the two players know all of the character's moves, they won't randomly be mashing buttons. The outcome is decided by skill.

Now, I won't argue with you about something as silly as this (since, really, there's lots of things I think that doesn't require any skill, while some claim otherwise), but I will still say that Tekken does require a form of skill to play properly against a good opponent.

Tekken is not mashing buttons, it is skill...a crap load more skill than any SIMPLE mario brothers stupid game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying one game is better than the other, I'm just saying that Tekken is more than just mashing buttons when you're a high-level player of the game (yeah, I'm arrogant enough to consider myself a good player in Tekken, shoot me), but I am not saying it requires more skill than other games, nor am I saying it's better than Mario, I'm simply stating my opinion on the matter.
