The first game I played, as I recall, was on the BBC micro when I was around four where the objective was to place a cartoon elephant on the back of a cartoon truck by solving a series of simple equations.
My first proper game was Dune 2 or UFO Enemy Unknown, one of the two I think.
When I was about 8 my brother and I got an old Comodore 64 and we started playing the little games that it had. Then we got a newer computer, I am ashamed to say it was a mac and we started playing EV.
My crime is that of curiosity. My crime is that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like. My crime is that of outsmarting you, something that you will never forgive me for.
I first started gaming when ma mom got me a SNES for christmas, when i was like 8. First game was King of Dragons, loved it and have been playing games since.
I think I was 6 years old or so, my dad had a Commodore 64 with a whole lot of game disks. We played King Cribbage and Legacy of the Ancients together. Never got too far on the latter, until a couple years ago when I rediscovered all the games of my youth through emulators. On the old 64 I used to play a lot of Archon, Neutral Zone, Bozo's Night Out, Apollo 18, Exolon, Choplifter, Wheel of Fortune, Mega Apocalype, Legacy of the Ancients of course, Gauntlet, etc.
Then I moved on to Sega Genesis, Playstation, then to more PC oriented gaming. Quest for Glory is hands down the greatest series of games ever, started playing them when I was 10 or 11, and play through them every couple of years or so.
I was just going to start this thread, good thing I searched.
Anyways, the game that got me into video gaming was Resident Evil 1. When I was around 7, I went to my cousin's house, and thats when I played it; and ever since then, I've loved video games.
I got into gaming back when the Colecovision was the shiz. Playing two player Space Invaders - was great! Also joysticks on the controllers! Ahead of its time.
