Best game I've ever played EVER? Ugh...
Jet Grind Radio. Srsly guyz. Halo 2 and HL2 were interesting and all, but they didn't hold on to me FOR WEEKS AND WEEKS like JGR did.
Worst: American Chopper. My parents bought it for me, fully confirming they don't know anything about video games.
Worst: Tomb Raider: Angel of Too Many Shitty Sequels
I installed it once, and moving the mouse made the whole game bug out, and now I know what it's like to see a seizure on a monitor. I immediately uninstalled, then reinstalled later, just so I could climb up the fire escape in the beginning, just to throw Lara off of it. Thank God it was free.
Best: Homeworld!
RTS + Space + tons of ships = win. Homeworld 2 slimmed some things down, but looked pretty, and the AI is always a blast to lose spectacularly against (having them throw 30 battlecruisers at you, they hit your wall of 30+ battlecruisers, enormous battle ensues).
