I bought oblivion right when it came out for PC and it was rated T. Now im seeing that its rated M. Are there new changes in the game that make it M, or did it change ratings but its still the same game.
The geniuses at the Evangelist Software Rating Board didn't bother to check the content of the game the first time around, so once they heard about what was in it they re-rated it. For those of us outside the United States (and above the maximum age ratings anyway) it doesn't really matter in the slightest. And to be honest, stores are so utterly lax about this stuff that it probably doesn't matter to those of you inside the United States either.
It got re-rated because like everyone said there is more blood than they thought, plus you see naked bodies hung... but I mean the genitals are ripped off so there is nothing, but you can see their butt. But who cares? I think one main reason it got RR is because of a certain part. I'll put it in a spoiler, you should only read it if you beat the Dak Brotherhood quest.
Spoiler:
When the DB think Lucien Lachance was the doulbe agent they find him hiding at a cabin, you return and see his body hung and there are organs all over the floor, he has a huge hole in his stomach and little slices all over his body... when I saw that I was even shocked it want "M"
Yes, pc gamer, they did the same thing they did to San Andreas. But thats only for the PC version. Apparently Bethesda made real-life models then just put clothes over them, and the queer modders unlocked them. Who honestly get pleasure from looking at animated characters???
