A Little Help Please?
Dam
December 8th, 2000 12:49 AM
I have sent emails to Interplay and I posted on this board once before, but in each case I get zero support. If you have any kind of help or suggestion, please let me know. This my last effort to get this thing to work.

I have tried to play LAN games on two different LANs, both have problems.
LAN #1 Status:

Latest patch, latest drivers, same version of DirectX, same protocols installed, including IPX, Windows 2000 Pro server, Windows 98 clients. Server can see but not join games created by clients. Clients cannot see, and thus not join games created by the server. Clients can join games created by other 98 clients.

LAN #2:

Latest patch, correct drivers, same version of DirectX, same protocols installed, including IPX, Windows 2000 Pro clients. Clients cannot see, and thus not join games created by other clients.

I reported this to Interplay TechSupport. Their response was: "Did you install the newest patch for the game?" According to the Fixes section for the patch, it does not fix these types of problems. But I installed the patch again anyway.

As they were no help, and neither were the FAQs or any searches that I did on these boards. I am asking for suggestions. I am at the end of my rope here. It is frustrating to see this game, and not be able to play it my friends.

Thanks for any input.
