Internet play not working properly
 

The actual single player game will work perfectly but everytime i try and play an internet game, i can manage to get to the lobby but trying to enter a game i get "attempting to connect to host timed out"...what do i do, is it gamespy or civ 4? both are useless for support....any ideas?

Did you try hosting a game yourself and inviting someone? If that works then something is wrong with your connection, maybe not fast enough.

Maybe a bit obvious, but also take a look at your firewall and make sure that it allows the game to access internet.
