Additional Tricks
 

I thought you PSX'ers out there might want to know some other tricks us rc heli guys do. Some may not seem as much like tricks as they are just being in control.

"In-Out circles"
You do figure 8, with the first part of the figure 8 the nose pointed towards the center of the cirle, then as you cross the middle, maintain sidways flight so you do the bottom part of the 8 with the tail pointed towards the center of the circle. Do this repeatedly without wandering.

"Pierouetting Circles"
Hold a constant, modest ammount of rudder in while you work the cyclic to make the helicopter travel the patch of a large circle. Never stop the helicopter from pierouetting though... it's like a traveling 360, around in big circles

"Rolling Circles"
While doing constant rolls, fly in a circle.

Fly backwards, upside down!

Do the above "tricks" upside down.

These tricks are done in real life with rc helicopters. They're very hard and unforgiving.

Ouch HeliGuy! I got a headache just thinking about pulling off those moves!

So the big question is...Did you try any of these in the game? I can think of a free-flight level or two that would be ideal for practicing some of these tricks.

PS. Did you know we had Curtis Youngblood out to help us a little with balancing the flight mechanics in the game? It's unbelievable what that guy can do. In fact, you can see some of the tricks you described in his video called "How Did He Do That?"
