I know this has been discussed before. Has anyone come to a solutions on the crashes, that happen just before you enter the curtain where you are supposed to dance? My game ALWAYS dies there. I am stuck.....

Hope someone has an idea

This may sound nutz.. But try:
Taking out either CD's as you try to enter the club.
Or Try rapidly pressing F12.

My game freaked when I hit this point too, when it tries to open the curtain.
I turned the graphics down a notch until it was loaded, saved my game, then reloaded it. I don't know why, mabye all the people in the room danceing seized up my machine. Once I'm in it's not a problem.

Sudden crashes to the desktop are usually due to the swap drive running out of space.

Try doing what Brett says, save often, exit game wait 30 seconds for the swap file to go down. Then load your game up.

It could be that the driver on your video card is choking on the detail in that next room.

Do try dropping the detail on the characters.

I must check on this, but I think the only way to get directly to Windows dropping out of the game is through a driver failing.

If our code causes the error, you would get a blue screen or an exception error box, but not just Windows.

I could be wrong on this, but I would try pushing the card a bit less.
