I know this pretty much has nothing to do w/ star wars jk series, but thats why its in this section of the forum ;)

So am i the only one in this comunity totally obsessed with Resident Evil? Anyway i'm so excited about the RE remake, deadly silence, coming to the ds! I really can't wait until the new resident evil 5 game comes on ps3/xbox 360 either. Post any info you have on these games, such as release dates and maybe plotlines (for re5) because most websites are not saying much of anything. Thanks!

Yeah, I also cannot wait until the new resident evil 5 game comes on ps3/xbox 360! I have been a fan of resident evil for a while now and it just gets better for me.

The original and there is 2 versions on the DS one
1. Uses the touch screen and adds extra puzzles that can be solved using it
2. Just a straight port of the original

Resident evil deadly silence is a remake of the first one, pretty acurate w/ fairly good graphix. but ds graphix are nothing to the psp's so i'm wishing it would come out on that instead!

Anyway, there have been rumors that chris redfield from resident evil 1 will be the main character of re5, and i think that that would make sense. However, the webmasters at gamespy and ign are retarded and say stuff like "i think its chris!" so we don't know for sure. either way its gonna pwn to high heavan.

Yeah I am hearing 2 different stories. gamespot said it looks like Carlos Oliviera from RE3 and other sources say its Chris. IDK who it is, i'd go w/Chris but it woul be nce to see carlos back again too. OH! Just for the record, in RE5 the zombies can run, like in Dawn of the Dead.

LOL, REZ EVIL (aka low rez evil!) been a long time since i played that, was on the gamecube if I remember, had a rez evil night with 2 mates and the one that had passed it b4 ended up playing it and me and my other mate just sat their because we were to shit to take it in turns! ;) I did try having a turn but kinda wasted a whole clip on a zombie and didnt kill it, mega bummer... anyhow my point is im not really excited about the new one and ever was excited about it!

Anyway, the gameplay has changed since then. A LOT.
I have yet to play resident evil 3, well i mean i've played it but only for a couple hours. I didn't really like it so i dont' really know who carlos is.

However, it would make sense if it was Chris because think about it: In resident evil 1 you played as either chris or jill, and then jill was in re3. In re2 you played as leon and then in re4 you played as him again. It feels like they're having continuations of characters you've already played as. Oh yeah, and claire was in RE2 and code veronica.

I hope that the new Resident Evil has Las Plagas in it. The T,G,Mother and Nemesis Virus and the whole washed out undead thing really is old and lame. Resident Evil 4 rocks because there isnt stupid Lead-Resistant Ugly Motherdudes. :bows: .

Anyhow, if Resident Evil 5 has Zombies. I shall not be buying it. Thats fo-sure.

The new Resident Evil (5) will have some sort of different virus (or a mixture of two), because in the trailer, the zombies are running. Fast.

Heh, Deadly Silence on the DS looks awesome. You can use the stylus to move you knife around to cut up zombies, which looks like great fun.

Hopefully Resident Evil 5 will come to the Revolution as well. You would be able to use the controller like a real handgun. :D

Resident Evil Deadly Silence is gonna friggin' rule.

I loved RE 1, 2, 3 and 4 (Being the best). The offshoots such as Dead Aim and Outbreak all sucked. Deadly Silence is being published by Square Enix and Nintendo, how could it possibly not be amazing?

REVeteran, I wish I could change your user name you fraud. Resident Evil was built off the concept of a zombie infestation. How can you say zombies are lame!? They're America's favorite supernatural horror creatures!

i watched the trailer and let me tell u it looks so scary! Even in a well lit area i'd be freakin out. I neeeeeeeeed it!!!!!!!!!!

And about it coming to the revolution-- nintendo is kinda washed out. In teh past like five years they've been trying to win us back with cheap gimicks-- they gave luigi a dust buster, mario a super soaker, put video games inside pokemon cards that u were supposed to scan on your gameboy, and now a remote controlled game system? Whats next? Use the remote to change TV shows so luigi doesn't get stuckc watching cartoons?

I'll give them credit for the new super smash bros game and zelda game.... but they're pretty much done.

Although if they made gun controllers for it instead of remote controlls that would be a different story. And then it would be awesome if RE5 came to it.

i love resident evil. bougth a second hand gamecube just to own the 0 thru 4 series. rigth now im playing zero. i have only managed to finish codename veronica on the DC and look forward to doing it again on the GC/revolution. rigth now on my denim jacket im wearing an umbrella corporation patch from hot topic, that is how much i represent.

Absolutely. A favorite pastime that I share with my friends is going into the local 'Goth Topic' and committing suicide. Great fun.

Anyway; I meant Resident Evil: Deadly Silence, not Resident Evil :D.

I used to be in to the resident evil games for ps, dad bought me RE Outbreak, and it sucked balls, so i don't like it much anymore.

Outbreak did suck, don't base your opinion on a single game in the series though. I mean, Final Fantasies VIII, X, XI, X-2 all sucked too but the FF series is still the best RPG series ever.

I totally agree wit this ^^ guy. I've never played outbreak but i guess i shouldn't XD. 3 was pretty bad too, but i only played the demo of it.
