Default Best FPS Games for PC
Well i just got a brand new Alienware Aurora M7700 w/ dual core technology and am ready for some serious shot em up. i got everything surround sound and the whole she bang. I currently own halo, tribes vengence San Andreas and some old skool games. but i want to know what are the best FPS games besides the obvious like halo. I want to actually use this comp to the full so give any suggestions for FPS games that rock and only FPS games! Thanks

Counterstike and Counterstrike Source
Battlefield 1942, battlefield Vietnam, and Battlefield 2
Doom1,2,and 3
Quake 1,2,3, and 4
Enemy Territory

Halflife is good. Ghost Recon and other Clancy Games (splinter cell- if you can really consider it an FPS, and Rainbow Six) are fun games which don't cost that much anymore now that they've been released for a while...

Half Life 2 would be what I would purchase if I did not already own it. Doom 3 is not bad, the Quakes are alright, and Battlefield 2 is pretty fun. Half Life 2 is still better, though. Far Cry is a quality game with excellent graphics as well. Just make sure you don't suck at FPS games before you play it.

yeah, Far Cry kicks ass. I'd say its on of my favorites. Also, seriois sam is good. if you like third person shooters then try MAx Payne

No One Lives Forever 1+2, good games lot of fun.
Medal of Honor Allied Assualt

I know these arent FPS, but you should try em out anyway:
Mafia, third person gangster game, Great game, Great story line.
Hidden and Dangerours 2 + expansion, third+first person sneak and kill, bomb ect, Fun Game.
Elderscrools3 Morrowind, RPG, lots of freedom, Extremly good game.
