War Games Hi Everyone I have been trying to find a good war game on either PC or PS2, i really like games like Halo (which i havent played), War of assult and these kind of shooting games. i dont like the old ones like medal of hounor of stuff. unless you got a strong argument against it being good. anyways i think you get wat i mean. Im not botherd about wat game as long as its fun, IT HAS TOO BE LONG, AND NOT ABLE 2 COMPLETE IN LIKE 1 DAY,LOL. and a bit modern not 2 old type game. halo=gd example. hope u can help. TY |

Re: War Games What do you guys think of dawn of war, winter assult?? I was gonna get winter assult for 25pound, the i found out you need dawn of war (25P) to play winter assult. And offer is bothfor 35 pound. So i forgot it. kinda crap if you ask me.:( |

Re: War Games Battlefield 2 is better on the PC, but you'll have to have a fairly decent system if you want it to run smoothly. I played the demo, and it was awesome. Highly recommend it. It was supposed to come with my video card, but they sent Call of Duty 2 instead... :( |

Re: War Games most people i know enjoy battlefield 2, but call of duty is pretty good also, bf2 bigger maps, cool vehicles, more people. CoD excellent single player and pretty good multiplayer. |
Re: War Games I wouldn't recommend Dawn of War of you're looking for a game with any endurance. I completed it in a day. And of course you need DoW to play Winter Assault, it's the expansion pack. |

Re: War Games well there is only one title out for the PS2. If you are looking more for PC, it depends on you system specs. There are 3 titles out for the PC. i have them all, and like all of them. Also for the first 2 (bf1942 and bf vietnam) there are ALOT of mods to add on. |
Re: War Games You have not played halo! You can get it for about $20 today on the PC. If you have a decent PC you will enjoy it with most of the eye candy on. The single player is about 12 hours, the MP is still going will with about 500 maps avable for the game. |

So you buy one game and end up with a ton more for free! |

Re: War Games If you're looking for a single player game, Call of Duty is probably the best. I would only suggest Battlefield 2 if you have a powerful machine. |

Re: War Games HOnestly, I'm not a fan of Halo. I've spent hours explaining why SOCOM is a better game then Halo.. Socom 3 is sick, and that's for PS2, so there you go... Also if you have a PSP, SOCOM: Fire Team Bravo is the best war shooter. |

Half Life 2!!! I love that game the 2nd is a war type game but the first is much cooler but you just battle aliens. I love that series!!! Call of duty, one of my personal favorites I didn't like call of duty 2 though but it was still prety cool. Some others I have are farcry and battlefront. |
Re: War Games Yea thanks alot everyone, despite these olden type war games, have such a high reputation in all areas of the game. Im not really into that kinda stuff. I more like Games whihc are modern and have alot of action, big guns, big bosses all the big hard shooting games. Thats why i an only come up with Halo as an example, Do you guys know any types of FPS games which are more modern and have action and explosions and stuff. Im not saying call of duty and half life dont have action, But i just prefer games like Halo. Hope you can come up with a few names. Thanks:) |

Re: War Games BF 1942 sucks without FH. Try: Medal of Honor - PC only Call of Duty - all of them Halo for PC is all right BF 2 BF 2 Special Forces - I don't know how good that is though. Good Luck with finding something! |
