memory card issues with ff7

I already tried to post this once and typed a lot already and then it told me it couldn't post it so I'm going to be brief. I decided to replay ff7(on my ps2) and when I get to the first save spot It says no memory card detected. I have 2 mem. cards in, both are not full. I was thinking maybe iI needed a PS1 card. So, please help.

You need a PS1 card. I know because I've experienced the same issue.

Ok, thanks. I'll probably borrow/get one from my sister's boyfriend; He has a ton of them.

That's wierd, because my PS2 memory card works for FFVII. I was thinking that maybe some cord came loose inside your PS2, because that was what happened to me once.

Won't work for me, unless my game disc and/or memory card are corrupted somehow.

My Playstation 2 memory cards work with every other game I have. I was playing FFX just today and it saved fine. FFVII is the only PS1 game I have right now and the only game I have that won't save.

Hmm. Maybe my PS2 is screwed up. heh.

But, my memory car does work. Because I just played the game a couple weeks ago when my best friend came down from Pennsylvania. Both of us almost beat the game, again. We used the PS2 and saved with a PS2 memory card.

That's weird! I thought ps1 games couldn't be saved on a ps2 memory card.
