What games do you advise me? Hello, Sometimes, i'm getting tired of SOF2... What other games do you guys play and do you advise to me to play? I like "indoor" games so no Battlefield or something like that. It can be outside offcourse sometimes. Like SOF2 indoor/outside. Tell me if you know good and nice games for me to play please! Bye for now! |
Re: What games do you advise me? World of warcraft, is a good game, I only have warcraft 3 but I played world of warcraft once and its a great game, also and shooting games are good. |
Re: What games do you advise me? OK WoW, I will look some time to it... Yeah I like shooting games more! |
Re: What games do you advise me? Half-Life 2 is my pick of the modern FPS crop, though I preferred the original. As I recall, however, a lot of HL2 is outside. Though when you've ruined a city there isn't much 'indoors' left -- you won't mind that, anyway. Doom 3 is entirely indoors, but it's not very good. It'll keep you occupied, maybe make you jump once or twice, but you won't remember it in years to come as a great game. Chronicles of Riddick is a surprisingly good game, entirely indoors aside from a few parts. I was skeptical as it's a movie licence, but it is a really good game. A good mix of shooting and hand-to-hand combat as well, and requires a lot of stealth. Looks great on PC, too, considering it's an old X-box title. And another surprisingly good game is Star Wars: Republic Commando. It's not the longest game in the world, but it's good fun and has lots of atmosphere. All these shooters are largely futuristic, though. They all use fairly realistic projectile weapons, except they're all futuristic. If that's not what you're after then I'm afraid I probably won't be of much use, as I find games set in modern times fairly dull. Farcry is a notable exception, though, but hardly a simulation. Oh, SWAT 4 is a great modern game, set in modern times, with a good degree of realism. Mostly indoors, half-decent multiplayer, and you get to shout at criminals. Not only that, but this is the only game I've ever played with a Tazer in it, and by god you get a lot of sadistic pleasure from shooting people with it. Even if they're compliant hostages... :lookaround: I couldn't really say any more newer ones. If you don't mind older games, though, I have a few suggestions there too -- Half-Life 1, AvP2, JK1, etc. For future reference, this type of topic should go into General Gaming, though a moderator will surely move this one (if he hasn't already while I was typing this). |
Re: What games do you advise me? I actually thought Doom 3 was awesome, the atmosphere was tre' scary. My pick would be Alien vs Predator 2: one of the finest FPS' ever made in my oppinion. |
Re: What games do you advise me? I don't have much time to play games but if you like realistic games then I suggest the following: - SWAT 4 (amazing: a police "shooter" that makes you angry if you "have to" kill a suspect not willing to give up. You can play it like a normal shooter but you won't get many points ;). Definitely not boring) - Rome Total War (not an ego-shooter but a truly epic strategy game, set in the time of the beginning Roman empire, with great 3D battles, especially with the mod Total Realism) |

Some games I recommend: HL2 Swat 3 and 4 Soldiers: heroes of WWII, it's not an FPS and it's not indoors, but it's damn fun ;). |
Re: What games do you advise me? I think you will stuggle to find in door games nowadays, with graphics advancing, games want to be outside in all the variation that comes with it. I'd recommend Call of Duty, it's an excellent game, some of it is indoors, there's great atmosphere and it has excitement that you can't get from many games, it's also great online with the expansion pack even more so. Also, Serious Sam is worth a look, for pure fun and the sequel is coming soon, |
Re: What games do you advise me? Serious Sam II's the one you want to play :D |
Re: What games do you advise me? Don't know how I forgot Serious Sam 1/2... you're not a gamer unless you've fended off hordes of screaming headless suicide bombers! Wow, how politically correct is that game these days? :D It's covered most of terrorism with just one type of monster... |
Re: What games do you advise me? Ok thanks for all your good advise! Yeah Matt, I like games where you are in the city. I'm sure I gonna play MTA: SA when its ready. I already completed HL2, that game was awesome! But still didn't find how I can play it multiplayer :S -__-' Swat 4, I will have a look on that to! Thanks guys and bye for now ;) |
Re: What games do you advise me? Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield or any rainbow six is good for cqb indoor stuff. Counter-Strike is also a great game for indoor battle... Also day of defeat is good for close quarters, although it is outdors your fight in confined areas allot. |
Re: What games do you advise me? Ok thanks! I will try that one to soon! |

To get the official HL: Deathmatch you have to download it through Steam, and then make sure you select that one when you're about to load the game. |

Re: What games do you advise me? CS 1.6 is a bit old now, I mean honestly why are people still obsessed with it, It's good for competiton etc. [or I'm told]. Try CSS if you just want to play the game rather than become a pr0 gamer. |

to add other titles that haven't been named yet. Quake 3 is still fun especially with special gamemodes like freeze tag there is also a large selection of mods which I'm not sure if alot of people play them since I lost my game and the cd-key that came with it. jediknight 2 and jedi academy aren't bad games either, mix of 3rd person/1st person shooter. there is Unreal tournament 2004, with a large selection of good mods(since you like indoors more, you'll proably like the mod fragops) shame noone plays the other mods, I would have liked to play that starwars mod entitled Troopers and also that transformers like game entitled COR. |

Re: What games do you advise me? try elite force |
Re: What games do you advise me? With 70+ PC games (all from last few years) I tell you to get Call of duty (most atmospheric game ever and feels like a real battle but none of that vechiles bullshit so dont think of battlefield series) Half life 2 ( you will love and you will love counter strike source (like better version of sof2) comes free with half life 2) secondly Swat 4 (use your brains, will last for ever always more to do on it, make own missions do missions better etc with different plans) Doom 3 (jump abit appreciate the awesome shading and slaughter hoardes of the armies of hell, so so replayability and great to show friends and take turns playing) Far cry (master piece its like sof2 with abit of half life 2 and battlefield games but only in terms of afew vechiles so you will like the battlefield part of it) Star wars: republic commando (stylish and atmospheric, and addictive until single player ends, bad replayability though) and medal of honor: pacific assault is ok, crap levels in game great levels in game, it feels weird, sometimes you feel uncomfortable and not at home playing sometimes you sit back and think that was awesome or what im seeing is, it feels like brutal rough and tough combat but for that sacrifices control because of animations etc can make somewhat confusing whats going on like is he dead or not is he in range or not etc. thats it for FPS if you like big full scale battles and controlling armies in huge groups of men easily then you HAVE TO GET ROME TOTAL WAR, best strategy game EVER, can get up to 10,000 men on your screen at once, 3d units, awesome detail, can see detail on faces like eyes nose etc seperate lips, amazing game and still has a out of battle strategic aspect to it like a board game turn based build your empire kind of thing. |
Re: What games do you advise me? Well if u wanna play something real interesting , check out MAFIA (illusion softworks). I am sure the impressive soryline will have u in it's grip . |
