Someone had stolen his dead rat. Clive fell silent for a minute, thinking what he could say to help cheer his good friend back, without giving away the fact that Clive himself had the same dead rat in his left pocket. Greg turned up with his special 'soul-destroying' powered rat. Greg seemed to think of this rat as a Pokemon with the ability to use it's powers on anything.
