HOW DARE YOU RELEASE SUCH AN OBVIOUSLY UNFINISHED GAME
 

I AM HORRIFIED BY THIS GAME, HOW DARE YOU PPL AT SHINY RELEASE SUCH AN UNFISHED PIECE OF CRAP AS THIS, YOU KNEW!!!!!!!! IT WASNT RIGHT, MY GOD JUST LOOK AT YOUR OWN README FILE THERES A PROBLEM WITH EVERY VIDEO CARD AND EVERY SOUND CARD, I THINK YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF RELEASEING THIS, MY GOD IVE HEARD HOW SOME HAVE SAID "GIVE THEM A BREAK THERE TRYING TO HELP EVERYONE OUT," BUT DONT YOU REALISE, THERE TRYING SO HARD IS BECAUSE THEY KNEW IT WASNT READY AND KNEW HOW BUGGY IT WAS,THIS GAME IS A SHAMBLES, I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SHINY GAME AGAIN.

ive had many talks with the people that made this game and i can tell you i wouldnt be so behind them if they KNEW there were going to be any problems. i got the game to run. they got the game to run. a lot of people have got the game to run. mostly what has happened im finding (having helped over 50 people get this game running and i dont even work for shiny or any other game company for that matter) that the issue is that a)people are not running the latest drivers for all their devices. b)most companies drivers arent backward compatible as they are supposed to be

i understand that most people think they shouldnt have to update all the time if things work. i agree with that. but if their drivers operated as they were advertised and had all the features they say they do none of this would really be an issue.

i encourage you to either reply back here or email me directly with whatever problems you are having and i would be more than happy to help you get this game running. i even had a little trouble getting it to run at first but when i did i played it in spurts of 6+ hours at a time. its so amazing. i was just sad it all had to end (yes ive beat it already).

please email me or reply back to this thread and i will be more than happy to help you out. let me know what is happening when you try to run the game as well as all your system specs and ill get right on the case for you. we'll get it running. just takes a little patience thats all.

It sounds like you are able to help almost anyone without an ATI card. I'm uncertain that my rage pro card will work even after the patch. there seems to be some mention of a rage pro lt or something like that and my card doesn't have any lt designator. Is it the entire rage pro family or just the lt card that the patch is going to fix?

I really want to play this game. If there isn't a patch before Friday I'm going to be forced to return it so that I can at least get something else to play.

i think i remember one of the programmers tracing down this problem. i think it needs to be patched and should be out soon. email messiahfeedback@shiny.com or check the troubleshooting page. from your start menu --> programs --> shiny --> messiah --> -->latest troubleshooting info

Rich, read the "final sermon" posting, it explains why the game has been released so full of bugs, and also manages to insult.
BTW, you sound like a prat with the whole "how dare you" bit, you'll want to watch that for future postings.
