Okay, I got myself into the room with the grinder and there's 2 lab guys above it..I can't get out of the room, all the doors are locked. I did manage to crawl under the laser beams as bob and possess into one of the lab guys, to kill the other one by dropping him into the grinder...but this did me no good. I HAD entered the room as a Chot (or whatever), used the launcher to fire twice at that thing over the grinder (which gave my grenades), but again, this does nothing to get me out of the room. This is the part that is shortly after going through gate 1. Later.

you need to drop 3 bodies into the grinder...

How do you pull that off? You can't pick them up can you? ...and I know if you fall into the grinder while in a body you die....

Ok, I got it...I got the grinder full, and then stopped by dropping ANOTHER lab guy in there..so now I've still got 1 body, locked doors and the big can of parts sitting there on the 2nd level. I've tried blowing it up but nothing...I'm stuck again!

you need to get on top of the container then fly to the switch on the ledge with green lights hope this helps.

3 bodies must go into the grinder. If you entered the room as a chot, run him up to the barricade then jump over it and into the grinder, and just before you hit the grinder, depossess him. Then run over and possess the worker guy, run him into the grinder by following the same routine as the chot. Then go up to the scientists (you'll have to crawl under the red beams to get there) and possess the scientist behind the control panel. Then have him press the button on the panel which will make the floor disappear under the other scientist, dropping him into the grinder. And boom, you have dropped 3 bodies into the grinder. :P
