I was thinking of buying GW, after seeing my brother play WoW, i didnt particularily like it. For all who have played GW already, what features and stuff put it apart from GW? I might just stick with EVE Online tho, imo the greatest mmorpg ever. If you haven't tried it...you should. It takes a while to get a good character with a good amount of skill points but once you have that, its hella fun.

I like GW better.

GW PvP > everything.

Re: Guild Wars is great

I was thinking about getting guild wars because recently my wow account was shut down because it was hacked and blizz won't set me up a new one without buying another copy or giving them every ID under the sun... drivers licence (wtf? i dont even have L's yet..), address, phonenumber, account key, state ID (wth is that? we dont have those in Aus...)... meh so I'm POed at blix now and will be for a while... i had 6 months of credit payed on my account, now it is nothing....

So I wanna know if GW is really that great... I didn't really love WoW to start with because it takes too damn long to get anything done, and I'm on 56k. Guil;d Wars promises all kinds of things that are friendly to dialup ppl - no SCampers, level ups based on skill not hours of work, no fee - wow is the last game i'm ever gunna pay for after i've bought it at the store.

Probably thats because of the kiddies being absent, but i find most of the 6-13 YO's that play games online are spoilt little brats that get whatever they want, and let me assure you, WoW has it's share of kiddies, just the style of game doesn't let them show their presence the way CS does. Also GW only came out last week so all the current fanboys will be ex-wow players saying how much better GW is, not the other way around. Added to that is the New-Game Excitement that everybody has over every new release, like I had when i got HL2, I loved it and thought the graphics and gameplay were great, but that was before I rediscovered UT2004, which IMO has smoother, more polished imagery than HL2 will have for a long while.

I like WoW better, I hate this crap in guild wars when everything is instances, it gets very boring and lonley, only 1 race to pick(humans), and only 20 levels(thats what I heard anyway).
I know a lot of people have liked the PvP in guild wars aswell, but I found it pretty lame.

Ive had the same problem, my account ran out of the month free that comes with the game but when I setup my account I paid for 6 months subscription and it clearly says that on the receipt. Now my free time has expired and it wants me to pay? Ive emailed Blizzard about this but still no reply yet, so ill email them again soon and then check the statements to see if the payment went through. o_0
