best space game ???

What do you think is the best space ship game these days ? This one rocks, but I also liked an old game, Freelancer. I was just wondering if there was any upcoming games or something out now I haven't run across.

my son really liked Klingon Academy. Is it that much diff from SF ??

It's closer to a traditional flight simulator than SFC. Starfleet Command is a real-time adaptation of the boardgame Starfleet Battles.

Its pretty old but freespace 2 is the best space game I have ever played. its still really fun.

yeah, both conflict: freespace games were good, but freelancer kept me well entertained too. the only thing I didn't like about freelancer was that it sometimes took you ages to get from one point to another. otherwise, brilliant game with a good storyline.

I never did like the star trek games much, but there was one that was quite fun: Bridge Commander.

I would personaly have to say ST: Bridge Commander.

Its just cool, how you can commmand from the bridge *shock horror*
