It sounds like it will sink compared to Xbox 2

Perhaps, but I'd be curious to see how the Mario franchise holds up after more than a decade.

Yea, but I would prefer playing Mario 64 or Super Mario 2, as compared to some of the new crap. Its obvious that they agree, as they returned Mario 64 to the Nintendo DS, it looks like they are going backwards in the advancments to games.

Its unfortunate for Nintendo, they keep bringing out their products just as other companies bring theirs out. And quite frankly, theirs are no match...

Although the new nintendo console sounds like nothing special compared to xbox 2, I do however believe that with the right games the console could suceed quite well. Especially since they're pretty popular over in japan. Two words : Mario Kart

The quality of games being designed in recent years, especially for consoles, had dramatically fallen in my mind.

I think nintendo will go the way of sega after the next console war... only reason why I'm tempted to buy a revolution is to be able to play a few 1st party games by nintendo.

u can really say a system is going to stink when it hasn't even come out yet.

Re: Nintendos Revolution

Im sorry but I have a feeling this console will not last long. It will be a Dreamcast, and will not be able to compete with its 2 rivals.

Re: Nintendos Revolution

"It will be a Dreamcast,..." So you're saying it's coming out before it's due time--it's advancement is limited only by the company that owns it, and not by it's actual game-play? That all will love it and realize its true power only after it's extinct?

"Touching is good, but feeling is better." They must have included a sex-port in the back. It's the only explanation.... Other than that, I'd say it's good, but seemingly small compared to what M$ and Sony have to offer...

No match huh. I am quite a big nintendo guy. Why are nintendo's products no match. I have a gamecube and a ps2 and quite frankly THE GAMECUBE OWNS. despite a lack of online play (which even i agree would have helped). I think the gamecube is the best system on the market right now. But, on Nintendo's new console, Im not sure. All these rumors of touch-screen controllers and things. But, i am sure that it will be the better console of all 3 and still be overlooked by the public.

Re: Nintendos Revolution

Nintendo is always overlooked because it's a smaller company. Therefore it has to try even harder just to reach the same level. That's why they continue to produce superior games and such.

Nintendo is for young people..*cough*2-year-olds*cough*

Re: Nintendos Revolution

Oh i've heard this argument before. Why is nintendo for young people? is it because they dont need to spill gallons of blood and guts on the floor to make a good game?

Re: Nintendos Revolution

nintendo is for kids ...even if those kids are in their 20s. nintendo make games for people who have imaginations, not people who say "where's the guns?".

im not saying that all games with guns are un-imaginative (metroid prime) its just that id rather play a game based on fun and originality than have another below average 'cool' game playing on my screen.
