Best Old Skool games

I dont know if this is a repost, and if it is a repost... please close this thread on my request.

What are the best 80's games? Can be Nintendo, Atari, Sega, Super Nintendo.

I'd say that "Ghouls N Ghosts" is the best one ever. It is oringnally for the Atari but the Sega remake version of it is what im talking about. The gameplay is classic and simple... and Addicting! Also the music is the best

I always get nostalgic when I think about the old days of Quake multiplayer. That was the first real online game I'd played, and I was hooked instantly.

Grappling hook rune Quake. Sweet jesus, that was hot.

wow. How could i forget old school Computer games... Talk about Bungie's "Marathon" series... It looks awfully alot similar to Halo and Halo 2... It had its own Level Designer where you can create your own levels for the online games! That was the sweetest game i can ever remember when i was 10 years old.

Old school computer games? I have a copy of Doom 1 next to my computer, i want to play it and compare it to Doom 3. I also have Command and Conquer Red Alert and Red Alert:aftermath...probably one other Command and Conquer. I know these arent really "old" school" but it's what i remember from when i was 5 :D

How old does a game have to be ,to be old school?when you say old school i say
ELITE on the amiga 500 or as mentioned BUBBLE BOBBLE but on the commodore 64,having said that i spent hours on CATACOMBES on the ZX81,lol.

Wow some of those graphics bring back memories.

Most of my really retro memories are with my beloved C128 and the Amiga, both had some absolutely brilliant games. I still have my amiga and many of the games I enjoyed back in the days. These include:

Wings
Maniac Mansion
Super Frog
Alien Breed (oh yes!!)
North and South
Walker
Settlers
Elite 2 (though Elite was better imo)
Flashback (which I also have in the MD)
Another World (class but what a crap ending!)
Pinball Dreams
Stuntcar Racer

That's all I can think of at the moment but man those were the days.

Frogger and Pit Fall were classics on the Atari. on the nintendo, Mario and Excite bike.

on Sega, Sonic, definately, and Toe Jam and Earl was cool. Also, Altered Beast. classic. on regular nintendo, street fighter. and Zelda.

on Super ninento, Mario again. mario 3 was best i think. also Rock and Roll racing. i played that for months. Donkey Kong country is good too. and Zelda

playstation, Battle arena Toshinden, Suikoden, Need for Speed, and of course, FF7.

any final fantasy untill 10 is good.

I think the "Marathon" series is very important to the Xbox society because it was Bungie's first game (started in 1993) My avatar is the symbol for Marathon and an honor to Halo. If you look at the screen shots of Marathon you can see it is awfully similar to Halo and Halo 2 - Check out this pic and compare to Halo's skulls...

Wolfenstien3D was the first game I play on the Mac, back in 03.
There was another game, I wanted to mention, but I can't remeber what it was.

Has anybody ever played Corridor 7: Alien Invasion? It was made by Capstone Software using a modified version of the Wolfenstein 3D engine. I was quite little when I first played it and I never got the chance to beat it, so I went back and did just that a couple of years ago (or less).
