I always get nostalgic when I think about the old days of Quake multiplayer. That was the first real online game I'd played, and I was hooked instantly.

Grappling hook rune Quake. Sweet jesus, that was hot.

wow. How could i forget old school Computer games... Talk about Bungie's "Marathon" series... It looks awfully alot similar to Halo and Halo 2... It had its own Level Designer where you can create your own levels for the online games! That was the sweetest game i can ever remember when i was 10 years old.

Old school computer games? I have a copy of Doom 1 next to my computer, i want to play it and compare it to Doom 3. I also have Command and Conquer Red Alert and Red Alert:aftermath...probably one other Command and Conquer. I know these arent really "old" school" but it's what i remember from when i was 5 :D

I've played that, got really far and then I think I lost it, fun game though. Commander Keen is another classic, but some of my favourite old school games are:

Hugo's House of Horrors

Wow some of those graphics bring back memories.

Most of my really retro memories are with my beloved C128 and the Amiga, both had some absolutely brilliant games. I still have my amiga and many of the games I enjoyed back in the days. These include:

Wings
Maniac Mansion
Super Frog
Alien Breed (oh yes!!)
North and South
Walker
Settlers
Elite 2 (though Elite was better imo)
Flashback (which I also have in the MD)
Another World (class but what a crap ending!)
Pinball Dreams
Stuntcar Racer

That's all I can think of at the moment but man those were the days.
*takes off rose colored spectacles and loads up Halo 2* ;)
