Hummm....upgrade to X800 and worse performance?!

Thanks for any help here.

Cant believe this.
Upgrading from 9800 Pro to X800 xt, PE edition no less.

I was actually getting better game play with my 9800 pro.
Never looked at fps w/ the 9800 but I noticed that whith the x800, the game felt less stable, glitchy or something. So, looked at fps and at times I am droping to 20's!!!

WTF?

Anyone have insight into this performance issue with the x800 series?

what are the rest of ur specs?
when i upgraded my card, there was hardly any performance increase since my CPU was so limiting
same happens with ram increases
perhaps u need to upgrade ur CPU aswell

the other specs of the computer are good, or at least good enough I think.

Athlon XP 3500

all i can say is have u tweeked the settings on your bord, some times you haft to go into the advanced desplay settings an enable the AGP settings i got a ATI an an Nvidia card (in two diffrent computers) and boarth support AGPx8 but the Nvidia did not automadicly set to AGP x8 i had to do it by hand, as in the ATI card(all-in-wonder 9600) it set it self to AGP x4 for optumum profrmance but then i overclocked my prosser an then i ajusted it to AGP x8 an had no prob

so it might be the settings on the card out side of the game.
