Can't Seem to pass to sniper
 

I need some tips on getting 36-40 hits on the marksmanship so I can do the sniper training. I usually get 32-34 hits.

you are getting close .... turn your speakers or headset UP so then you can hear the breathing ... always use Zoom (Z) and shoot at the center of the target ... I have only gotten 36/40 ... I'm not the greatest :rolleyes: Oh and for the breathing thing ... when he stops breathing FIRE!!! :lol:

There is a bug in Americas Army 2.2 that will not let you pass sniper training no matter what. Do not go back to test this bug or you will lose your sniper training.....

Crap.. I wish I knew this earlier!

Now, that I downloaded 2.2, even IF I get past marksmanship, I won't even get to pass sniper!

The second post has some pretty damn good tips.

Sniping in AA isnt hard at all. I couldnt get past 36, so I tried on a friends account. Sniping came really easily to me there.

I thought somethin was fishy when no matter how many times i tried..no matter where i shot that single white sillouete down field it kept saying "Failure". I was actually getting very mad. SO, in theory, i spent an hour fo my time trying to do something that was impossible.

I ussually get 35 out of 40 but I got one round in my mag that I didnt use. Now I just needed that stupid bullet for sniper training. Is it possible (when there's a patch out) that someone could do the sniper training but instead of filling his name filling in my name? or wont that work or just do the rifle training? I am a shooter in daily life too and get very good results so dont tell me when to shoot how to shoot but I just cant get that 1 point. I tried for more than an hour but every time ONE or TWO points. Im getting real sick of it. plz help me!!

Ya, I heard about that, althogh even on earlier versions I cant get sniper training. Though you dont need sniper training in most maps. I play WC all the time, so I dont need sniper training. But ya, now that I know that you cant get sniper done I just wont try anymore. But people who are getting mad, remember that you only need sniper training on SOME maps.

you can pass it in version 2.1, that's what i ended up doing, i just reinstalled it w/ 2.1 passed 4 sniper 1st shot :naughty: (after trying like 20 times before that lol) and 4 the adv. marksman, it took a while, but i got it too, you just need to syncronize w/ the breathing.

Bug is gone in new patch.Passed Both Sniper Rifles with 1 Shot Each.Thanks AA I was goin nuts not being able to pass because of the bug.............:)

Adv. Marksmanship is not even avalible to me i completed all of the training even the sp e&e i got all of it done and i even got the patch yet Adv. Marksmanship is still not avalible. Is my honor to low or something?

i did sniper training in 2.2 and it worked for me...

as for the topic, like everyone else said, listen for the breathing. whens hes stoped inhaling or exhaling, shoot.

in the parental controls there is a setting for no advanced marksman. maybe you turned in on by mistake??

have you gotten at least 36/40 targets on the marksmanship test?

:) :) :) :) :) found away to PASS avd markmenship there is a game bug that wont let u pass enen if u hit target when u are doing test move over about a 1 to 2 feet to your left outside fireing station any more and u fail test instantly so not to far find the sweet spot aim at left edge of target making sure u only clipping target MUST BE EXZATE and fire i pass doing this SO I HOPE THIS HELPS :beer: FROM BANG_U_R_BEAD ........ps use a cheat ghost mode and go to target theres a big man in your way cantsee it till u get behind target i would say it has to be put there by some worker of the program hardcase dont cheat to pass test dose not upload reaslits

You ass... If he is not good enough to be a sniper, don't tell him how he can cheat his way around it. Thats just not cool...

If he used cheats he can't pass the training, it will give an error in the end saying the user cheated.

to qualify as an expert on your marksmanship test the best way to do it is set the rifle to to semi auto (default) zoom in and hold the weapon downward so you can see all the targets listen to the breathing and when you finish an exhale or inhale take your shot

also if you miss on the first shot don't shoot again because you only get 20 rds for each part so if you miss one and shoot again and hit you'll still have basically missed that shot because you can't use that round on another target at the end plus once you miss the first time chances are you'll miss again if you squeeze off another round

You always want to fire of single shots, using burst you won't even be able to pass the rifle qualification.

Another helpful tip:
It works both ways. If you miss a target, you CAN fire again, or if you know you have an extra bullet, you can "skip" one and hope for an easier one.

I still am in 2.1...so if anyone wants me to do the advanced marksman training, email me at tehkey1@hotmail.com and give me your account name and password (dont worry...I won't sell it on Ebay or anything), and the advanced sniper training that you want me to do (NO, I WILL NOT DO THE 36/40 MARKSMAN TRAINING FOR ANYONE, JUST ADVANCED MARKSMAN)

it took me forever to do this i dident do the breathing trick though mainly you got to get the foxhole position which is the hardest the prone is so simple you dont even really need sights also watch the front two targets there sometimes hard to see becuase of the angle and for some reasons my shots missed them sometimes
