Is this game still dirty ?

I used to love AA but i quit a long time ago because it got swarmed by cheaters. So i was wondering, did they ever fix the cheating issue?

helps alot with cheating, but really is a hassel. many people got kicked for not updating pb (sometimes it doesn't update by itself... so uhave to manually update). and some people get kicked for no reason at all.
o yea,
also, click the "activate pb" thing on the bottom right of the browser in AA

If the proper ports are open, it will ALWAYS work.

Well, I just started playing again and the number of cheaters seems to have greatly diminished. Only hackers are left who create their own programs, but they are few and far between.

I still have noticed some pretty lucky shots though, don't know of it was a cheat..

playing mout mckenna on honor i would walk acrosse teh street first thing and get shot, thinking it was a hack or somthing...but then I figgured out that the loyalty guy just sprinted to the upper alpha window.

so it isnt always a cheater...just soemthing you don't know about.

There are some places in certain maps that you can only be attacked from a certain direction. Believe me, I know the difference between suppression fire and a hack. About a week ago on Mountain Pass my entire squad on assualt was wiped out within the first thirty seconds by an M249 on defense. Don't tell me you can shoot targets that far away with one shot per target with a machine gun.

My 2 cents:

1. Yes, I know for a fact there are cheaters out there, that make their own hacks and don't share them with others, except with the ppl in the same clan...yes, some (underline some) clanz are cheating, and I personnally saw more than one member get kicked by PB on same map while playing. So it proves they are sharing within clan only.

2. Don't accuse of someone cheating unless you have proof of this, and then, don't tell them about it, get an admin. They will then shadow the culprit and hopefully catch him/her do something to prove they are indeed cheating.

3. Some players are truly good at this game, it comes after lots of experience playing, and time spent online. That's not saying that someone with very high honor did not obtain some by cheating.(..only a thought!)

4. Think about this: One head shot is possible, 2 head shots is probable, 3 head shot...probably a hack (especially if done with a SAW)

5. And no matter what anyone else tells you, when you get shot through smoke by a sniper or otherwise in one shot(unless shot by cover fire by saw/autorifle) it is more likely a "smoke off" hack.

6. Some players are really good at estimating distance by practicing on maps, and mostly by playing the map enough times to fairly accurately predict the op team movements/logical direction. Just because someone is good with 203, does not necesarilly mean they are chating. Additionally, if EVERY 203 shot kills, every time, every player, then you should have doubts of validity.

7. ping while standing is possible, less probable with the m82 than with the m24, and everyone can get lucky once in a while. But if you see someone run, then shoot immediately after stopping, especially with kills every single time...

I'm sure there are many more, but I just can't think of them right now, you are more than welcome to add on...

Have fun, ....and don't get caught in the allure of cheating hacks, its not fair..., and not curteous to other players.
