Any 3dfiles vets out there?
 

I started going to www.3dfxmania.com aka 3dfiles.com ever since i got voodoo1 card., but in recent years the site went to crap. The site use to be updated alot more and had alot of extra odd 3d related stuff. They also use to have better servers. anyone remember "epix". zdnet has really horrible servers. I only pull 12kbs and this is on an OC3 connection. Its sad because it use to be the best site on the internet 3 years ago. Voodooextreme is way better. Anyone out there remember the glory days of 3dfiles.com?

It's funny you say that about going there since a Voodoo I, that was my reason too for stopping in there initially whilst I lived in Atlanta Ga. from 1995-1999... hitting 3dfiles in 1996 I believe if memory serves me right, or early 1997 as 3dfxmania!

I got into the messageboards there & hung out there for 5 years time... good fun, it displaced IRC as my favorite hangout in fact!

* Would I call myself a "veteran" there? I guess I would... lol, for time-served!

Yeah, that's when I got in.

I started going to 3dfiles when it was 3dfxmania, back when I had to download a patch in order to play a game using my 3d card.

Actually, I went to Voodoo Extreme a lot back then too.

That was about 4 1/2 years ago, and I have been posting there since.

o man.. i remember those days! heh, downloading 3DFX patches for games like dungeon keeper and MDK ... and all the rest...... All the excitement!

I made thousands of posts there. I am glad to see some of the old gang here. APK, I really like what you do to help others with your software and advice.
