I know what you mean. I've had E-books and such, but it's usually a pain for me to read those... The screen light burns my eyes after a while. I've also notice I get kinda dizzy when reading nowadays.
Anyway, I like mostly historical, war or crime/detective thrillers
I had not-so-recently started to read one called "Natalie" by Herman Wouk, which is about an American lad who falls in love with a Jewish-italian girl, right in time for the Nazi invasion of Europe. Might read it sometime soon.
