I myself am currently unemployed, but I'm hopefully going to become a computer hardware reviewer soon. But my long-term plan is to go into neuroscience and study dreams for a living
But what about you guys? Any interesting tales to tell?

I could go and apply for a programming job to fill my spare time and get some extra money in the meantime, but I don't really think I'll want to do that for longer than a week or so.
When I've had free time during the summer I've worked in property maintenance, the pay was actually adequate. Just driving around with a car, mowing grass, emptying market trash bins and so on. The best part was that it was completely independent, pretty much no supervision either so atleast I wasn't under pressure of any kind.
I also tried a moving company, but handling heavy objects in stairs isn't that nice. Sure, your muscles get used to it after a few weeks but it really drains your energy anyway. Meh.
When I graduate, public service might be a preferable option too – just depends what the situation is, if not on Greece's path. Taking some time until MSc so hard to predict.
I'm currently working as a research assistant at my department, but this is the last year of the project, and my job ends with it. I'm moving to a different city, and I'm hoping to get a job in my field there next year, but I'm not holding my breath, a degree in computer engineering is possibly worth less than one in folkloristics now...
Yeah, I read about that in the FH thread from a few years back. That's where I got the idea for this thread
Is the employment rate really not that good for that field? Because over here, everyone needs programmers and engineers.
