I have my doubts that its due to having zoomed out too far, since it would remain centered either way if it was defined as such in the CSS.
I've had this happen to have on several occasions – and quite frankly, I like it – but for some reason it appears to happen randomly. It doesn't seem to be related to whether you're logged in or not.
Also curious, why the censor on recommended videos? Someone's been naughty.
Same as some of the subscriptions and the last video! I wanna know
Anyhow, that seems annoying to hell. Could it be the browser? Because I'm running on firefox and I don't have that much blank space... About the same size as what the size on your recommended-videos thing is.

Show an uncensored version of that pic!!! D:
It's not just you, it would seem YouTube is updating the site again, it would seem they always manage to break something...
I'm using Google Chrome, and depending on what plugins and/or extensions installed previously, maybe causing problems. I know people are having problems posting comments as well. Also the feed, page comments and subscribers info are missing as well. Noticed that on both Firefox and Chrome, so it's not a browser problem in itself.

This is, so far, perfectly correlated with me signing in and out of my account. If I'm not signed in it uses the normal interface.
The recommended videos hardly reveal anything private, since the videos it suggests are public, and your recently watched videos are normally on your profile page anyway.

Anyhow, as Blackrook said, it's probably because of those bloody updates... Usually get fixed within a week or so. Although, now that I recall, those space-issues have been around ever since they got the new version of Youtube.

Oh joy. Do they just not hire interface design people or what? *head desk*

Mine aren't - at least not unless some setting's been changed. I don't care for automatically publishing everything I look at to everyone I know. I believe it to have bad effects on relationships and the richness of communication you can have with any given individual.
