And I'm Off (but I'll be back)

Tomorrow I'm off to Hospital for some Orthodontic Surgery. The name of the exact procedure evades me, though it involves breaking both my upper and lower jaw bones, moving the top one up (after removing a segment of it) and then moving my lower one forward somewhat to match.

But yeah, in Hospital tomorrow, nice early start of 7:15am (check in time); the actual procedure could be anywhere from an hour onwards. Guess that depends on them, though it's a five hour operation, and I can't see that many people having it done. I'm told to only expect to be in hospital for two or three nights at the most, though can imagine myself feeling rather shit about it for a couple of weeks following; not to mention my diet is going to suffer; jaw is wired shut for a week or two, then its on to soft foods for another four weeks.

Am pretty sure (Nitestriker) had a similar (if not identical operation) some time ago, though I don't believe he's been around these parts in a while. Anyway, wish me luck... I'll be around... in a couple of days or at the end of the week for progress if anyone is interested.
