With the recent theft of a very large amount of Maple Syrup in Quebec, it seems that we are intent on protecting the sticky stuff.

Story here!

This article isnt exactly clear, but either they found the stuff that was stolen before, or its a shipment to replace it.. I cant figure that out from the article.

Mmmmmm... Maple syrup.

I didn't understand that part of the article either, but the supposed amount of stolen maple syrup is crazy, something like $30 million worth of maple syrup. CBC states that the amount stolen represents a tenth of Quebec's harvest, and that the province produces 3/4 of the world's supply.

That article, shines a much clearer picture. So it would seem that the stuff was the maple syrup taken in Quebec...

I caught the tail end of this story on the news tonight and there is apparently some debate as to whether or not the maple syrup was actually stolen. Weird story, but that's Quebec for you.
