You may have heard of and/or seen YouTube parkour sensation Jesse La Flair. Lots of his fans urged him to enter American Ninja Warrior, so he put in an audition tape and was granted a try out.
This guy has only been at parkour for 7 years, and in his very first attempt at ANW, he not only passed the southwest division of the finals, he was the 2nd fastest competitor.
It's a tough course, many of the 15 qualifiers didn't even complete it. In his parkour Jesse mostly works on agility moves. He did very well considering this course takes a huge amount of upper body strength and stamina.
If he trains more on upper body strength, I could see Jesse possibly winning ANW. In a competition where strength to weight ratio is key, he's already got a big advantage over some competitors weighing only 140lbs.

I'm not surprised Evan came in first. I watched him on American Gladiator the season he won it. They were so impressed by him they made him a Gladiator. Evan is an incredible and well rounded athlete.
Another standout, but sadly didn't make the top 15, was a 53 yr old guy from Trinidad and Tobago. He made it roughly halfway through the course, and was doing well, but could not get over the 14' tall "Warped Wall".
