Both parents have brown eyes/brown hair, my brother has brown eyes/brown hair, mum's parents both had brown eyes/brown hair, dad's dad had brown hair/brown eyes, dad's mum had blue eyes/blonde hair: I ended up with blue eyes/blonde hair (when I was young at least), so genetics can skip a generation (this is down to "recessive" genes, as opposed to "dominant" genes. If I remember my GCSE Biology right, there can be "recessive-recessive" and "dominant-recessive" genes, further complicating how it all works.)

Whilst this might not be my place to say (and I apologise if that is the case) it would seem to be that your mother might by lying, and that your first Dad is actually your Dad. If your Mum has a new guy in her life, it's highly plausible that she wants this new guy to take over the father role; especially if your other Dad isn't on the scene anymore.
Yeah, sad thing though is that she doesn't like my Dad or my biological dad. My mother is an odd one. But I can see that I look like my biological dad, but the weird thing is I look like my Dad too. But honestly I don't care about who my real biological father is, the man that raised me since I was born is my Dad, even though we don't have the same blood he's still my Dad and I love him very much! :] I mainly call my bio dad just a sperm donor. He's an alcoholic mess and I don't really ever want to have anything to do with him. Only reason I am still in contact with him is because just in case something happens I want to know about family health past and what not.
Anywho..
I always thought it would be awesome to have light purple eyes! Or even red! To bad that's not naturally possible! Contacts it is!
if both parents have blue eyes (determined by both having no dominant gene for brown eyes) then the child will have an overwhelming chance of having blue eyes. Not discounting the chance that it is possible for brown eyes to be the result of a dominant gene that didn't get into the makeup, just very unlikely.
I know my mom has blue eyes and my dad has light brown. I ended up with eyes that go from brown to green to yellow depending on my mood and lighting. Typically they are green though.

But honestly I don't care about who my real biological father is, the man that raised me since I was born is my Dad, even though we don't have the same blood he's still my Dad and I love him very much!
Whether you've come to this conclusion by yourself, or via friends and other family members, I believe it's a good stance to have.

Nobody can blame you for that.

I don't know which vampire lore you're following Totes, but I've never heard of a Vampire having eyes that change from Green, to Brown and Yellow.
Usually it's Red, Blue or Black.

Aye (eye), genetics play a big role there as Grany and Moregun posted before me... Pshh... I'm having a test about stuff like that next week and I wanted to showoff here a little... You took my chance... Smart... People...
Anyhow, yes, it's not uncommon that parents with same eye color can have children with totally different color.
In my case, I've got weird fucking blue/green (50% of the people say blue, others say green) that I apparently got from my grandpa. My father was dark skinned and brown eyes and mom... She's a little lighter, but has hazel eyes... So yeah.
Both one of my brothers and I ended up with this weird cool-ish eye color

There's been a recent discovery that to some degree disproves what we've come to think about eye color. I saw this on TV one night, but found info verifying it on the net.
A doctor in California has actually found that brown eye color is merely a surface pigment that can be removed, revealing a blue pigment underneath.
The procedure involves the use of a laser tuned to the frequency of the surface pigment, virtually erasing it in about 20 seconds. It is irreversible though.
Currently this procedure costs about $5000, but once it's officially approved and becomes commonplace, I'm sure prices will drop dramatically.
"Dr. Gregg Homer of Stroma Medical says a 20-second procedure that removes melanin, the pigment that gives brown eyes their color, will permanently make them blue without affecting a patient’s eyesight."
Makes sense. AFAIK, brown eyes are basically a sunburn, which works basically just like the skin and is also more protective agains sunlight than blue eyes.
Burning off that layer would be pretty stupid IMO, considering blue eyes are more sensitive and stuff... Well, I thikn pretty much all æstethical surgeries are pretty stupid, unless you're like... Disfigured or so.
EDIT: Weird, Moregun... Usually my webcam enhances (exagerates) my eye color... Which is like a very blue-ish something xD
Spoiler:
Just for the sake of exposure.
