Jet powered R/C plane Holy moley (Go to around 1:15 to skip to takeoff) O_o Wonder what the range is for the controls, and what it'd be like with a camera on that thing.... |
Re: Jet powered R/C plane HOLY FUCKING SHIT! That's awesome!!!!! I wonder how much gas that shit can hold and the range... Ought to be sweet to fly it dough... Gotta see a is krach xD |
Re: Jet powered R/C plane I always freak when I think of the potential danger of someone that's not extremely skilled flying something like that. A few facts: The Jetcat P160 RC jet engine alone costs roughly $4000 The plane above can do around 366 mph. 2011 AMA Safety Code http://edgewoodflyers.com/LinkClick....2c%3D&tabid=75 The AMA is of course US based and only applies to the US. I find it odd it is next to impossible to find any actual laws regarding operation or mandatory training and licensing for such aircraft. |

Re: Jet powered R/C plane Totally awesome. |
Re: Jet powered R/C plane NATO must have sh*t themselves when it turned up on radar. :lulz: |
Re: Jet powered R/C plane Heh, talking of security: when Obama was getting himself made I thought some neo-nazi skinhead would drive up there and pop him. One of the ways I thought they might do it involved remote controlled aircraft. When you think about it these things are basically cruise missiles. Stick a couple of 'nades worth of explosive in there, a few nails - little camera perhaps.... First UAVs were basically glorified model aircraft. |
Re: Jet powered R/C plane The video needs to be remixed with "Ride Of The Valkyries". :lulz: |

@Nemmerle: Ditto! Don't know why they haven't done it yet in Chile... |
Re: Jet powered R/C plane Not necessarily. I'd like to see how they put the fuel in. For all I know, the central part of the body had a cylindrical fuel tank and the insides of the wings could be empty. I'd like to see some planes of that plane lol. And in regards to it showing up on RADAR, probably not much considering it's small, and it has some features, that make it inherently stealthy compared to regular designs. |
