Yes, I know. California's weapons laws really annoy me. You know you can't have nun-chucks? Having something as shitty a weapon as nun-chucks being banned makes me seriously doubt the amount or quality of thought that is put into the rest of our weapons laws.
You can always open carry an unloaded weapon though! If I could find a brick holster I'd rather carry that. Does more damage when you throw them at people.
Do you also have a katana that can cut through a tank?
I'm pretty sure that most M1911s are legal in California, I should probably look closely at that. In the USA, it's also about as far away as you can get from "evil pistol" while still being a (semi-)automatic pistol. Used by brave American soldiers from World War I up to the modern era? Yeah, that's a bit harder to cast as a criminal's gun, especially if you give it wood grips or something relatively non-threatening.
That is sorta a funny thing about guns, isn't it? A Tommy gun with a drum magazine and forward pistol grip? Gangster's gun, those damn criminals! A Tommy gun with a straight magazine and no forward pistol grip? Tool of Marines and Rangers, fighting Nazzies and them durn Japanese.

Not for long, there is a proposed amendment in the works defining guns carried in belt holsters as concealed.

In my spare time (Which is almost all the time now) I think I might hunt down some huge pieces of scrap wood and metal, and build a sort of course in my back yard. There's plenty of space (It's freakin' huge!) for such a thing, and it wouldn't be all that expensive for me... Just gotta do the work, and invite some people over so I can shoot them! Of course, I'm prolly gonna have a tough time finding anyone in this area (Everyone around here seems to be unable to take a plastic bb without whining about it) but I always have my brother to count on. He just needs to get a gun first...
...or not...

Anyway, I had a CA M15A4 but I ended it up selling it for money toward the real thing. Around here there's just no one to play with, although I love the concept and think it would be fun to try. The only thing that would piss me off is cheaters.
My friend has that gun.

I also do some mil-sim so I have a vest, full BDU set, etc.
That's why I play with friends. Becuase Airsoft is based of the honor system.
Evike.com is also really nice.
Anyways, I have a heavily upgraded Echo1 SCAR, did the paintjob myself. Here's some pics of me before the paintjob, and also the paintjob itself.

Come on now, a mask?
I play with no mask, glasses only. Some of my friends play with mask's and I find it puts them at a big disadvantage becuase they can't hear worth crap and they have virtually no periphal vision. Fun for me, painfull for them.
Nice loadout though, the bullets give it a nice touch.
Getting shot in the teeth doesn't sound particularly appealing. A lot of money was spent getting my teeth straight, I'm not going to let some 1-cent ball mess that up.

My mask leaves my ears exposed.
Goggles are wide and leave my periphial untouched.
Where I play facemasks are required for people under 18.
Also, I can still look down my sights with that particular mask without any raise on my sight.
