Uhm... Germany actually does a lot to cut on that, so you don't need to bring us up first. You could mention the Kyoto Protocol. And who didn't sign.
By the way, "it is obvious" is always used by people who don't have any arguments to support their cause (it's nothing against you really, it's just about the phrase ).
And the entire biological, geological and astronomical sciences are so much about guessing really... I mean, most medical drugs and their usage are based on the "we give him something but we have no idea why it actually works"-principle.
Of course, it makes sense to try and cut any bad influence we might have on our planet but it might as well be the case that we end up saying: "Oh. So we were not responsible. That's a twist."
But of course, this political stuff makes one sick.

Wha? Oh, right...sorry. No disrespect. I just listed a few countries. I mentioned my own and we are doing a lot too, but it doesn't change the fact that countries like Germany and the US still produce a lot of carbons as we are industrialized nations. But for countries that claim they are not carbon producers that doesn't absolve them from responsibility...they still buy our crap.

Obvious is used as an allegory in this case (and often is), meaning I get what Don is talking about that we are agreed, but pressing a different perspective to how I see the issue.

Yes.

Winter has both benefits and drawbacks in regards to fashion. The plump people wrap up, but so do the fine folks. Summer has a similar ying-yang thing going on, only it's reversed.

Sitting outside at the pub in January for a shivering smoke is wrong. It's much better when it's warm and sunny. Not that those two weather conditions ever make it to Britain, of course.
