What's your biggest pet peeve on the internet/forums?

Yeah, but that's different, and you remind me a lot of my kid asking advice and using it to form your own opinion as opposed to just dronishly posting verbatim. I've read your posts, and you know when to ask the questions, and when to stay out of a conversation if you really don't know. There are a couple of members here who do what I noted, and they know who they are...don't you.

With this, I'd agree. Typically, there are no limits on the number of words you can fit into a post (on the forums). Shorthand and such are perfectly fine for texts, but for instant messenger programs, and forum posts, it really does annoy me when people can't use proper grammar, and spelling. Whats the rush?

To be fair, you get people like that in real life too. Can't be helped. The world is full of people who make themselves out to be better than they are, the rest of us learn to live with it.

I would add, people who act 'tough' over the Internet to this list too, its like they can hurl abuse because they know (or in the rare case hope) that the person they're insulting isn't going to punch them in the face.

All of that would be in regard to the forums.

As for the Internet in general, porn. Frown upon me if you wish, but I seriously think there is too much of it. The amount of times I've gone to Google and typed in something completely legit, yet the results have come back with pornographic content... People who haven't yet hit puberty (and younger) are looking at the Internet, it isn't safe for to be browsing lately. The safe-search option in Google doesn't always help either.

- People who don't even try to use proper spelling or grammar (which this I mean people who think it's cool to "Rite lik thiz u no? lulz" ).

- Pages with loops (mostly adverts).

- Having to register or login to see a video due to it's mature/graphic contents, only to find out you can watch the video anyway if it's embedded on an other website and only to find out there is little (nothing) graphic or mature about it to begin with. (Youtube anyone?).

Well there's two things really. The first is similar to donutzes - Forums that need you to register to view content.
I want to view content first, and if the rest of the forum intrigues me, I might register and be active. If I have to register just to see one single thing I found on google somehow, I'm almost instantly put off.

Secondly it's people who make small edits and consider them cool. Like constantly typing Teh instead of The and similar stuff.
I don't mind the occasional typo, I can survive awful sentence structures - since most often people who have those are either non-native english or too young to know, as long as said person tries to improve with time.

But honestly people who intentionally mess with the words just rile me off.

Not when you are 13 or older. Instant messenger posts....if you have time to sit down on the computer to talk, take the extra 5 seconds and spell out "you". On a text message done with a quickness, I can understand shorthand, just dont abuse it. The internet has been out for too long now, its not oool and exciting to type retarded anymore.

And yes I never use apostrophes, because I type up documents in microsoft word all day and it autocorrects, so Im just used to that.

Yea Im just as much of an asshole in real life, and have gotten into fights before over it.

Speaking from the standpoint of a 22 year old, there is never enough porn. Ever.

Speaking intelligently, I'd agree. I like going to the various web sites that have videos on them (nothing toxic type sites), but every other video is tits. If I wanted tits, I'd go overload my computer by typing it in google. But no, I want to see someone get shot or stabbed or run over or whatnot.

Little kids who just spam to their hearts content. Why are they even allowed on the internet there should be a law or something!
People who are new to a forum or a game and just think they are like a God and post or say stupid and pointless things.

Alot of people go through an epic n00b stage. Especially in the spam forum. It's typiclly over after a couple of weeks-month.

My first post was in the jedi outcast forum back in 2003 when I was 15 years old about joining my clan that really wasnt a clan.
