What's al this blablabla over the first guy being an unwise choice to act like a babysitter, just judging by the picture (mugshot at that?), shouldn't one judge by actually having a talk with the guy. Sure to an extend you could still do some assumptions based on appearance, if he is dressed up like a hobo (unhygienic) or seems to be an addict. But more importantly, character, which to you might come over as unsuitable for babysitting (ea you don't get the "this is a nice/friendly person" idea).

Though even that's not a garantuee at all, people who dress/look in a way you don't feel easy about may still actually be very kind, trustworthy, respectfull, skillfull people who would do the job just fine. While that person with the friendly face and cheerfull character may actually have some very dark secrets...

I'm not going to blame the parents for hiring the guy based on the photo provided, that's for sure.

As for the guy, well that's a bit ackward indeed. Selling the kids (to a pedo or who ever else) is pretty messed up. Err... I guess he should have sold their organs and fled the country. uhuh.
