Yeah, people get pissed when music is really loud. Well, it depends... if it's a smaller, more conservative town with a lot of old people, you'll definitely be driving through a danger zone. Newer, more urban areas don't seem to care as much. This has been my experience, anyways.

In the long run, just playing loud music wouldn't necessarily land you a ticket 'round these here parts - just a warning.

I get overzealous at times. Lol. Can't help myself. Just wanna feel the bass sometimes, and then when I get really bored, wanna feel the air getting sucked from my lungs. I can't help it. :P

I've never actually seen anybody ever get stopped for loud music around where i live. Some of the cops around here can be real asses though. My buddy got a ticket for not having his headlights on while there was a light rain (really light, as in almost just a mist) in the middle of the afternoon.

Yeah...thats one of the more retarded reasons to give a ticket. I mean, if it's a simple mist...you don't really need your headlights. But laws are laws right?

Dispute the ticket. Did he get a sound meter out and measure how loud it was?

Be thankful it was just music. A friend of mine had an old Monte Carlo with a big V8 in it. We cut the tail pipes off, put some old burnt out glass pack mufflers on it. We picked up some catalytic out of a junk yard, and hollowed them out with a crow bar. When he would step on the gas, flames would shoot out three feet from the back of the card, and it was loud. We got pulled over driving down an open highway out in the boon docks one afternoon. The po po said it was too lound and started checking the inspection sticker. About a month later, the car got a hole in the gas tank. My friend was getting gas at the gas station, filled the car up and took off. I was working across the street, and I looked out the door, and seen a trail of fire going up the road after him. About a half mile up the road, there was a sharp turn, when he looked in the mirror, there was smoke coming up from the back seat. He stopped the car, and ran down the hill to call the fire department. By the time they got there, the fire was so hot, it melted his alloy rims into the concrete. His dad made us sit out there with a chisel and take it out of the road. Too bad he did not get it fix when he got pulled over, or he would still have a nice antique car today.

It sucks getting pulled over.
