What, is that still considered a major event? It was old news in 1999! We were more concerned with other causes of global apocalypse, than a mild computer hiccup. Although, I think a vending machine broke down in London, or maybe it was some backwater town?

I was 16 during 9-11. I was holding down the fort at our families computer store, and we turned on the store TV just in time to witness the second collision. My brothers were hanging out at the local Papa John's Pizza parlor. Unfortunately, my memory goes back as far as 1994, and thats it.

When the cops came to pick the dude up for the murder of his wife, he led them on a chase at ~35 miles per hour, for a total of 50 miles. All because the guy wasn't willing to drive himself to the police department that morning, like the cops had asked him to. :rolleyes:

The jury ruled Not Guilty on the murder, but many said it was more because of the fact that the trial was highly publicized, and poorly done. While others who were sure of the verdict then, are not so sure now.

Anyway, the case was a highly racially charged case. Some of you may remember a recent confrontation between a law enforcement official, and a well educated gentleman at his own house? Obama referred to the incident as stupid. I believe he would have referred to the entire O.J. Simpson trial as such, regardless of guilt.

Case didn't have the publicity in Europe like it was here. Doesn't surprise me really.

As for mine, nothing interesting caught me eye, though I was born close to Walter Cronkite's birthday (RIP).

As for events, I already knew I was born on the eve of the fall of the Berlin Wall, so I was quite literally crying and shitting my pants.
