I'd say its some fungus, actually maybe its drinking/eating. It reminds me of the time I tried cutting off some fungus off some potato while peeling potatos (since the rest of the potato is still good i assume...) the fungus itself was smelling horrible when I cut it, it looked like cotton, but the real knocker came when I finally got the fungus out on the space vacated by it, the smell almost made me throw up and it still makes my skin crawl just remembering it, I paniced and threw it away.

I say cut one open or kill it at least kick it to see how it reacts, if one dies not much can happen right? Put some gloves and bring a bag, cut one out of the wall and study the dead carcus.

Thanks for the video – I had not see it before. No, these are not bryozoans! They are clumps of annelid worms, almost certainly tubificids (Naididae, probably genus Tubifex). Normally these occur in soil and sediment, especially at the bottom and edges of polluted streams. In the photo they have apparently entered a pipeline somehow, and in the absence of soil they are coiling around each other. The contractions you see are the result of a single worm contracting and then stimulating all the others to do the same almost simultaneously, so it looks like a single big muscle contracting. Interesting video.

Like I said, it's worms.
