Ya, I saw this on the news several hours ago. While I do know his songs.. I've always just regarded him as a creep, I'm not going to weep over his death.

Right. Jackson was found not guilty on all charges of child molestation. Doesn't mean he was 100% in the right- he should've never been in the position in the first place. Still, what PROOF do any of you have that he molested ANY child?

Yeah, the guy was a bit crazy the last decade or so. I'll admit it. It happens. And you know what... being probably the most recognizable name in entertainment, in history, worldwide... yeah, the stress probably would've gotten to you, too. No, I'm not saying any of his antics were justified, but I DARE anyone to walk in his shoes.

He was working on a 50-show tour. All shows sold out in FIVE HOURS. Over $89m in sales. Yeah, he wasn't doing anything productive at all these days.

The man supported 39 charities, mostly for organizations raising money to combat terminal illnesses. Yeah, he was a total monster.

On a positive note... Thriller 2 is going to be the freakin' shizznit, when Michael Jackson shows up as a real zombie.

Perfectly normal to dangle kids over balconies, have a cimp named bubbles as a companion, sleep in bed with kids.....that kinda stuff happens?

He wasn't found "not guilty" at all. He settled out of court, the kiddy fiddling freak. Read some of the entires here: Child Molesters, Child Abuse Effects: Bulimia, Eating Disorders, Addictions: March 2005 Archives

Alright. You provide the money and so on and I'll do it. Oh no, people know who I am, oh the stress. I'd have got over it. Had some plastic surgery, moved into a less ostentatious house, changed my name. You know, disappeared. It's not hard to do if you've the money, and he did. If he was stressed the only reason was he chose to be.

Giving money to charity doesn't make you a good person. Even if the charities he had supported had solve those illnesses, then what? You can't go around saving every useless person.

If you have the resources then why not? Sure, if you're stretching your budget the weak ones go first - but it was probably going to be either that or another million dollar skeleton in his bedroom.

What would we do with the people if we found cures to the things they have? Once you've saved them they need jobs, food, etc; they represent a significant investment of society's finite resources for no practical return. We already have more than enough people. Saving specialists; people who actually contribute to society in a significant way; I can understand, but this broad everyone's life is valuable approach people seem to take to charity just makes no logistical sense.
