Most of the major outlets are crediting the LA Times, but it seems for the most part that most outlets are confirming it, but others like CNN are sticking to "coma".

I mean the guy really went wacko in the 90s with the pedo and such, but he was very influential to pop culture in the 80s.

BBC News 24 are saying he's in hospital, so perhaps the TMZ report is jumping the gun.

EDIT: Though, the LA Times are now reporting that he is dead. Very confusing.

An old err... politician (?) overhere got reported as "dead" not too long ago by some newspaper. That newspaper actually made an error and mixed up identities (they simply saw a notification in the obituary section of somebody with the same name) and other media copied it without properly checking on their own... like calling the guy at the adress were he has lived for many years now... so said person saw himself being declared death all over the news, newspapers etc.

I guess that's all a matter of opinion or kids wouldn't watch them if they sucked ass. Or somebody would make a "better" cartoon if the kids "didn't know any better".

He's half black half white, therefor he can't be the "first black president". I doubt he'd come this far if he was truely black (black as night or very brown in coluor with distinct negroid facial features etc.)

But whatever makes the people feel better about themselves I guess.

I'd think they would most remember his influence/popularity in the music sector aswell as him being a bit weird and all (the obession to try and be white). The pedo thing could eb considered the "nail in the coffin" of confirming his weirdness though.

I disagree. What artist's songs do you know the most of? Most people I know, myself included, would say Michael Jackson songs. Ones you sing at karaokes and discos - Thriller, Beat It, etc.

That's what he's known for and why he's loved everywhere, not for being notorious.

Everyone knows he didn't deserve all of that media pbulicity, he was an icon of the last century. I mean for gods sakes, he invented the moon walk! He was more then a legend, he was a hero!

His music was incredible and you can't deny that, hes next to elvis in music hall of fame.

I mean i was expecting him to atleast last till around 70.
