Hmm, well, actually, the government can't control the news (freedom of press, its an amendment) but it can sure as hell get rid of leaked content. I was mainly saying, the news is widely corrupted, everywhere you go. If you go to china, you have the government white washing entire massacres, but really, unless you see footage and get the news from two different sources atleast, then you can firmly place a strong belief that it's telling the truth.

Most of you were not even born when he was his height in the music industry. Most of you are quick to call him a pervert when he was cleared in a court of law, A court a may add that America puts is faith in.
Lets look at what he achieved.
Thriller - best selling album Ever 109 million sold. The next best is ACDC Back in Black with 45 million. Will this ever be beaten ? I doubt it.

The Thriller video set a standard that has not been surpassed yet.

The video for Bad was shown on prime time TV in the UK the day before the Album or song was released. It was shown in mini documentary at 5.30 and people left work early to get home to see it. They even showed it on the news. Has any other artist had there video shown on the news simply because they released one ? no.

The making of thriller was shown at 7.30 pm as a major TV event. It was only surpassed on viewing figures at the time by Star Wars.

How do I know these things, Simple I was there. I was one of those people who's work place let us out of work a hour early. i was one of those people waiting to watch and record the making of thriller.

Was he the king of pop, Yes he was and no other artist has come close to his achievements and probably never will.
Yes he was strange but there are strange people that are still revered, Look at Van Gogh he cut of his own ear, Not exactly normal behaviour

I never denied this in fact I mentioned it in another thread but does it mean news coverage for 3 weeks on every channel? I bet if AC/DC gets wiped out...they will get less then 5 minutes.

Isn't it supposed to be proved "beyond reasonable doubt" Was he found guilty ? Don't get me wrong this is not hero worship but his music does hold fond memories of that time just like Queen and U2.

I doubt that very much, But again Thriller has out sold anything, AC/DC are 65 millions sale behind him with just 45, I mean Sgt Peppers sold less that that at 32 million (i think) So even if you combined those 2 Thriller still wins. Regardless of his personal life that is amazing achievement. Or think of it this was. If you doubled the sales of the number 2 best selling album of all time it would still be no were near the sales figures of Thriller.
